In Art History news...

Super excited because today, as I walked into Tyler School of Art for class I saw this up on the big screen:

This is a project that I did on Hung Liu, a super amazing contemporary artist. She works to re appropriate images of women in history, and give them the voice that they never had. The advisor of Art History emailed me a few weeks ago to ask me to submit some work for the student show. This was surprising, because unlike my BFA counterparts, Art History majors never really get an opportunity to display our hard work. This afternoon, when I walked in, I was taken back by seeing one of Liu's paintings on the big screen juxtaposed with my research. This was a great honor and gives me a little bit of confidence as I'm going to soon attempt to enter the art world after graduating next month!
